Works”.

Fl 9/27/06 - Cut Taxes Now, Inc. - a group leading a local property tax revolt in St. Petersburg Florida - is proud to announce
that it has received the endorsement of FreedomWorks. FreedomWorks is a non-partisan group that fights for lower taxes and
responsible government spending (freedomworks.com). FreedomWorks boasts 30,000
members in Florida
who will be informed of the effort of Cut Taxes Now to lower property taxes in St. Petersburg,
throughout the Tampa Bay Region and ultimately Florida. Their members will receive updates from Cut Taxes Now, be invited to Cut Taxes Now
events and participate in fundraising.
Cut Taxes Now is aiming
to expose the voting records of local elected officials who are irresponsibly raising property tax collections. For instance, in St. Petersrbug Property Tax collections have nearly doubled in six years while the population
increased only 2% in the same time and grew far more than inflation which is about 3% this year. Cut Taxes Now is educating citizens about the voting record of Rick Kriseman and his record of voting to
raise property taxes every year since being appointed to the city council in 2000. A
Tax Revolt Rally is planned October 11, 6 p.m. at City Hall at the corner of 2nd
Ave. N. and 5th St. N.
Freedom Works mobilizes
hundreds of thousands of volunteer activists across the country to fight for less government, lower taxes, and more freedom.
Freedom Works' launches aggressive, real-time campaigns to activate a growing and permanent volunteer grassroots army to show
up and demand policy change. FreedomWorks has helped citizens in Washington State who were able to pass Initiative
747, which imposed a one percent limit on increases in property tax levies and is now being challenged in court.
